I am an associate professor at Biotechnology Engineering Department, Kulliyyah of Engineering, International Islamic University Malaysia.
Currently I am chairing the Teaching & Learning Committee at the department which aims to elevate the skills and approaches of T&L for more interactive engagement of students in developing their skills within the three learning domains: cognitive, psychomotor and affective .
I was postgraduate (PG) adviser, Integrated Design Project (IDP) coordinator, Final Year Project (FYP) coordinator.
I am actively involved in various department committees (curriculum, PG, Conferences etc.)
My research interest is in carbon materials (activated carbon and nanotubes) and applications and bioremediation (biodegradation of oils and FOG).
Currently I am chairing the River of Life (ROL) project at the University which aims to transform the Sg. Pusu River into a vibrant and livable water front.
